“Those who have long enjoyed such privileges as we enjoy forget in time that men have died to win them."

- Franklin D. Roosevelt

Let us never forget that all of the privileges we have were awarded to us off the backs of those who were brave enough to fight for them. Today, we honor those who served and never made it back home. We think of wives, husbands, children, parents, families and friends who have lost a loved one and proudly carry their memory and sacrifice for our beloved country. And we pray for those who have forgotten that freedom isn’t and never has been free.

Hi New England Canine family,
We just wanted to reach out and let everyone know we are still open and glad that we were able to stay open during this pandemic so that we could assist all the families working around the clock on the front lines.
We are excited that they are issuing the first steps of reopening, and we can not wait to see all our clients again and our 4 legged friends. We will continue to follow all the guidlines set in place by the CDC.
We will continue to come out to get your dog and bring your dog to you at pick up time and make any and all accomidations needed, just call the office (781-219-7471) if you need anything.
NEC would like to thank every one putting themselves at risk to help those effected by this virus.
Please stay safe and we will see you on the training field.

Happy Easter to our friends, clients and canines! We know Easter dinner is different this year, but the message never changes. Today we celebrate victory over death, triumph over fear and family above all else! So hug your loved ones a little tighter today, and rejoice in the fact that even though we’re apart, we’re all in this together!

There are so many people/professions on the frontline, fighting an invisible enemy... We are so thankful for each and every doctor, nurse, first responder, scientist, government official, corporation, therapist, etc. for continuing to sacrifice so much to bring us to the other side of this. This will end. We will find our new normal. But when that day comes, don’t forget the people who got us there. We owe them more than we could ever repay.

If you are blessed to have these people in your life, send them a thank you ❤️ Let them know they have your support, love and prayers. And if you don’t know anyone personally, pray anyway. They need it now more than ever.

REMINDER FROM YESTERDAY:

With the announcement of Governor Baker’s restrictions/shutdowns of businesses excluding essential personnel, we want to take a moment and let people know that we have received a lot of messages from such essential personnel who need care for their dogs. We understand that while we are not the ones on the frontlines of this pandemic, we provide peace of mind for a lot of individuals who are. For this reason, WE WILL REMAIN OPEN to serve those who are serving the sick, so their four-legged family members don’t have to suffer due to their long hourly shifts.

However, AS OF THIS WEDNESDAY, our standard operations will be changed to accommodate the ever changing situation surrounding COVID-19. Please see the following changes that will take effect on Wednesday and continue until further notice:

- Morning drop off at the Melrose Dog Park will be suspended.
- Any client that normally drops off at the dog park, please call or email us so that you can be added to the pick-up and drop-off schedule.
- Clients who have a standing schedule with us regarding pick-up and drop-off, there will be no change unless you initiate via phone or email.
- All services are open (including boarding), and if your dog will board with us, please be sure there is enough food for the duration of your dog’s stay.
- As of this moment, business hours remain unaffected. This is an aspect of our business we are hoping to leave untouched, but with the ever-evolving situation, please be advised we may need to alter our hours of operation.

For the most accurate and current information, please check our Facebook! It is the easiest form of communication we have to contact our clients on emergency closures, business hour changes, and schedule changes.

As always, if you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re all in this together!

Amid growing concerns surrounding the global pandemic of the Coronavirus, we want to take a moment to share some information with you. We aren't telling you anything you haven't already heard, but we feel as though we should reiterate a few things to our valued clients:

- If you have traveled recently to an area where there has been a major outbreak, please refrain from bringing your dog to our facility and/or scheduling pick-up and drop-off services.
- If you or any member of your household is feeling ill, please refrain from bringing your dog to our facility and/or scheduling pick-up and drop-off services.
- Wash your hands/sanitize before and after handling your dog's leash/collar/etc.
- Be prepared, not panicked. It's a good idea to have an extra bag of dog food in the event we are asked to limit our social interaction.

New England Canine has been and will continue to monitor the situation, and we would like to assure you that we are implementing the same protocol for our staff. In addition to the strict cleaning procedures already in place, staff will continuously disinfect surfaces, making sure we are doing our part in keeping our clients and their canines as safe and healthy as possible, as well as our valued employees who do their part in running our business.

We remain confident and steadfast that while these are uncertain times, our country and it's qualified professionals will do what is necessary to protect us all and get us through it.

God Bless and wash your hands.

Our deepest thanks,
New England Canine Family & Staff
